Well okay, it was more than a few miles… but only about 180! And the entire way was scenic and photo-worthy.

Back in 2022, my husband and I decided to spend our fifth anniversary in Key West. We had already been living in the Miami area for several years and had been wanting to make our way down there for some time. So it was a perfect choice to spend our time celebrating our life, so far, together in such a beautiful place!
Before we even left, we had planned each night and day out – but very loosely. Neither of us wanted to be tethered to a schedule or a play-by-play of every hour of every day, so we picked one or two activities per day and let the rest of the schedule happen organically. This made for a much more relaxed trip and allowed us to enjoy more time together.

During the trip we enjoyed a dinner cruise, walking along the beach, riding in the back of a bicycle-driven cart along the main stretch, lots of shopping, and of course lots of food! Our time in Key West was made even more special with the inclusion of our little doggo Shirley who absolutely enjoyed herself!

We also found a nice little spot to release some of my dad’s ashes into the ocean, something he would have absolutely loved. He enjoyed the beach so much during his times in Florida, it was only fitting to

We’ll definitely be back, as our trip was only a small one. There are so many more sights to see and things to do, we could honestly spend every single day there and find something more exciting to do or see. Thank you for the memories Key West!
